Important Information for Applicants and Legal Representatives

Please note that only an applicant as the data subject may submit a ‘Subject Access Request’ in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). Applicants will be directed to register on the International Protection Applicant Portal in order to submit their application at first instance stage by the International Protection Office (IPO) at the Citywest Reception Centre, Garter Lane, Saggart, Co. Dublin, D24 A38Y.

If you are:

  • an applicant who has not previously consented to use the International Protection Applicant Portal; or

  • an applicant who has now withdrawn their consent to the Portal; or

  • a legal representative whose client has not consented to the Portal; or

  • a self-representing applicant who is unable to use the Portal due to additional support needs,

you may request the appropriate assistance through the “Request An Appeal Form” or “Accessibility Assistance” pathways available by selecting “Appeal Here” on this website.

Please note that the International Protection Applicant Portal provides applicants with free notifiable access to all documents associated with their international protection application.  For this reason, the provision of applicant records or issuing of such records via the submission of a Subject Access Request will not be facilitated.
